Drive through Patensie and head towards the Baviaanskloof side. On your right hand side you’ll see a farm stall called Padlands. We’ll be meeting outside.

Vehicle Types
4x4 with low range and good ground clearance. Standard bakkies will be ok, but low slung SUV's might be a problem, please check with us if you are unsure. NO 4x2 vehicles allowed.

We've recently done a recce trip of this trail, read the brief trip report here.
The scenery is stunning with views of the Patensie farming valley on the one side and the beautiful valleys of the Gonjah and Osseberg trails on the other side. The trail however is not just a scenic drive and some experience and courage will be needed to take on the very steep ascents en decents.
Diff-lock is recommended. At the time we did the trail we were told by the owner some of the badly rutted areas will be filled in with stones and in the few places the trail was a bit overgrown, it will be cleared before we go on 24 September 2009.
